Chief Hector Santiago was born in Puerto Rico. Nearly 25 years ago, Chef Giovanna Huyke, Chef de Cuisine, has taken over the kitchen of his mentor. Under his advice, Chef Santiago attended the Culinary Institute of America in New York. Following graduation, the Greenbrier Hotel in West Virginia, the Manhattan Ocean Club, the Stony Hill Inn in New Jersey, and Heartland Brewery.

Fast forward to 2001, when he moved to Atlanta and opened his restaurant Pura Vida-a highly regarded Latino tapas restaurant. For over a decade, Chef Santiago traveled, explored, and cooked, bringing the authentic flavors and ingredients of his beloved Latino America to Pura Vida. He has been researching and expanding his technique with renowned international chefs, including José Andrés and Wylie Dufresne (WD

50) and Andoni Luis Aduriz. As Chief-Owner of Pura Vida, Santiago was a three-time, James Beard Foundation's "Best Chef of the Southeast" Semifinalist.

No, it's a fact that it's 6 years, 4 months, and 14 days old at this time of writing. Do not be pedantic if you're just going to be half-assed pedantic. Do it right or do not it at all.

This man pedants.

Killing somebody else or somebody trying to kill you or your family sounds completely insane to me. Why would they even do that? Not knowing if they will be just not enough and it's the same reason so many people get killed by cops in the US. They do not give people the benefit of the doubt. You do not look at people as you, you look at the monsters who might kill you. Sounds like some kind of crazy dystopia to me.

I mean, we're still talking about armed home invaders, right? They definitely want to do harm, there is no reason to give them the benefit of the doubt.

If someone tries to kill you, kill you right back! Breaking into a house and brandishing weapons "trying to kill you" even if you stop them before they kill anyone. That's actually the ideal scenario, kill them before they (potentially) kill you.

If you live in a country where people are not supposed to be armed while committing crimes, then you will not apply, I'll grant you.

Not necessary armed. People in this thread seems to think that you are in your right to kill them.

Okay, but I'm talking about the woman in this gif, and about armed home invaders in America.

Pan 9, sometimes called Super Pan 9, is a casino game found in casinos of Los Angeles county. The rules are similar to baccarat. Following are the specifics.

  1. A variable number of modified decks are used. The casino uses 12. Each deck consists of 36 cards, of ace to 6, and all face cards.
  2. One player shall be designated as the "banker." The turn to be the rotates banker around the table. Any player may decline to be the banker, in which case the turn shall pass the next player.
  3. All players, except banking player, shall make a wager.
  4. Each player, including the banking player, will be given three cards face down.
  5. Each player may either stand or win one more card.
  6. After all players, except for the banking player, the banker may also choose to pay more.
  7. All hands are scored as in baccarat; face cards count as zero points, aces as one point, and all other cards according to pip vaue. The terminal digit of the total points of the value of the hand. For example, 5, 6, and queen would count as 2 points.
  8. If the player has more points, then he shall win even money. A tie results in a push. If the player acting as banker has more points the player loses. The banking player shall pay and collect all bets.

Player Strategy: The player should hit with 0 to 5 points and stand with 6 to 9 points.

Banker StrategyIf the player hits, then the banker should hit with 0 to 5 points, and stand with 6 to 9 points. If the player stands, then the banker should hit with 0 to 6 points, and stand with 7 to 9 points.

I have not analyzed the banker's strategy playing against multiple players. However it would seem reasonable to stand with 0 to 5, hit with 7 to 9, and with a 6 do the opposite of how the player (s) with the largest bet (s) acted.

The following table shows the possible outcomes of a one-on-one 12-deck game, following the strategy above.
